Pap smear (collected during visit)

Pap smear – as part of cervical cancer prevention, this test should be performed in every woman who turned 25 (at the age of 30 at the latest). In sexually active women, however, the Pap smear should be performed not later than three years after sexual initiation. The recommended frequency of Pap test is once a year.

When to take Pap test and how to prepare for it?

The best moment for collecting the smear is between 10th and 20th day of the cycle. Before the test, you should not use intravaginal pessaries for at least two days and abstain from sex in the preceding 24 hours.
