Dr. Stangel-Wójcikiewicz Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Gynecology and Oncology Department at Jagiellonian University Medical School Krakow Poland. Her work is cantered around developing and integrating innovative approaches to advance women health. Her interest lies in the field of female urinary incontinence and pelvic reconstructive surgery. Broadly, Dr. Stangel-Wójcikiewicz methodological research focuses on new surgical approaches for female urinary incontinence including regenerative medicine.  She had been leading the interdisciplinary group to develop the robotic system for stem cells injection with the cooperation of Department of Robotics and Mechatronics AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

Dr. Stangel-Wójcikiewicz authored the book Regenerative medicine for the treatment of urinary incontinence published by the Jagiellonian University Press in 2016.

Dr. Stangel-Wójcikiewicz is certified by the Polish Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology for female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and urogynecology.

Dr. Stangel-Wójcikiewicz’s research interests include optimizing learning practices. She helped develop multiple teaching materials, including computer-assisted instruction tools for teaching urogynecology to medical students and fellows called virtual patients.

She has published extensively in the medical literature on pelvic floor and urinary dysfunction in women, is the author and co-author of forty-nine original articles in refereed journals and chapters in books.

She is running a private general gynaecological and urogynaecological practice and running urodynamic diagnostic services at the Femina-Med Centre in Krakow.

She is a member of the International Urogynaecological Association and International Continence Society.

– Urologist

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow. He is currently in the process of specialisation in urology in the Clinic of Urology of the University Hospital in Krakow. He holds the Burgundy Competition scholarship.

Areas of interest: urologic oncology, functional urology, neurourology.

 

Danuta Wójcik

– Midwife

She is a long-term employee of the Clinic of Obstetrics and Perinatology at the University Hospital in Krakow.
